Fun day with Aunt Erika & Cousin Julyen

Today we met up with Aunt Erika & Cousin Julyen at Jeremy/Erika's work to have lunch with Jeremy. It's CAD (Customer Appreciation Day) so Jeremy cooked a big pot of pastalaya and baby armadillo's. YUMMY!

After lunch with Jeremy we went shopping at Kohls. Of course as soon as we get there my lil' man decides it's time to eat. Try pushing a stroller, feeding a baby, and shopping all at the same time. That's talent! Cooper was actually pretty good in the dressing room. He slept for the most part. Where as Julyen....he was all over the place. He was getting sleepy and Erika says that's when he starts to act up is when he's tired. He made it hard for her to try on clothes. At one point I took him for a walk (actually he did NOT wanna go with me). I brought him to the toys and that made it all better. He totally forgot he was missing his mommy. He pointed out every truck! He LOVES trucks! We finally got our shopping done and headed for home. Cooper was fussy the whole way home. I think he had enough of being in the carseat.

Tomorrow he goes in for his 2 month shots. They say he can run a fever and become cranky from the shots so I'll keep everyone posted on how he does.

My kids do the same thing Julyen does. They wind up when they need to be winding down! It's crazy! I think they know that if they slow down, they'll crash!!! Ok... here's my shots advice. TYLENOL!!! Give it to him right before you head in. (or Motrin) We use Mortin, cause I think it works better. Both of my little ones did much better when I gave it to them. Of, course, it still sucked, cause the shot still hurt, but they afterward, they would just crash. Both of them slept for most of the day after their shots. Emme has to go for her 18 month shots soon... :( Good luck, mama! Love you!
